David W. HarrisChairman of the Board and Chief Executive OfficerMr. Harris has held his current position since 1982, when he was chairman of Peoples Life Insurance Company. He was named chairman and CEO of Central United Life Insurance Company in 1993; and became chairman, CEO, and president of Christian Mutual Insurance Company in 1996. In 2000, Mr. Harris was named chairman and chief executive officer of Manhattan Life Insurance Company. Under his leadership, the Manhattan Insurance Group has achieved consistent growth by developing a significant reinsurance facility, building a quality portfolio of products and providing personal customer service. Mr. Harris holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas, Austin. Daniel J. GeorgePresident and TreasurerMr. George began his career with the Company in 1986. During an eight-year management training rotation he was named vice president. He managed the Company's investment portfolio for two years. He has served as president since 1997. Mr. George earned his BA in Economics from the University of Houston. He is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute, a Chartered Life Underwriter, a Chartered Financial Consultant, a Certified Financial Planner, and an Associate of the Academy of Life Underwriters. In 2000, he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Kent W. LambChief Financial OfficerMr. Lamb joined the Company in his present position in 2000. He worked for the prior six years as senior vice president and controller at American General Annuity Insurance Company. He has also held financial reporting positions with American General and Great Southern Life Insurance Company and controllerships with American General and Philadelphia American Life Insurance Company. Mr. Lamb earned his BS in accounting and finance from the Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). John E. McGettiganSenior Vice President and General CounselMr. McGettigan joined the company as general counsel in 2000. Prior to joining the Company he was an attorney at the law firm of Winstead, Sechrest and Minick. From 1992 through 1997 he was an attorney at two firms, Weil, Gothsal and Manges and McGettigan, Gill and Hargas. From 1985 through 1992 Mr. McGettigan worked in the banking sector as the vice president, real estate for First Interstate Bank of Texas. He earned his BBA, Finance, from the University of Texas, Austin, and his JD from the University of Houston Law Center. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas. Mary Lou RaineyVice President, Corporate Counsel and Risk ManagerMs. Rainey joined the Company in 1995. She held the position of claims attorney at Fidelity & Deposit Co. for 10 years. She earned her BA from the University of Texas, Austin, and her JD from the South Texas College of Law. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas. Lee Ann BlakeyVice President, OperationsMs. Blakey joined the company in 2004 and has been in the Health Insurance Industry for more than 15 years. Prior to joining the company she was an Independent Consultant for over 8 years and worked for ten years with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma in various capacities. David ParsonsVice President Information TechnologyMr. Parsons joined the Company in 1996 as a director of Information Technology. Before coming on board with Central United Life, Mr. Parsons held the position of assistant vice president over Information Systems with Houston based Charter Bank for 12 years. More than 20 years of his experience has been spent on both financial and insurance business acquisitions. He has also been responsible for the design and implementation of new mainline and web based systems such as ACE (Advanced Computer Enrollment). Teresa MoroDirector of InvestmentsMs. Moro joined the company in 2003. Prior to joining the company, she was portfolio manager at Kanaly Trust Company. She was also with American General and its subsidiary Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company for over 15 years where she was vice president and held various positions in portfolio management and trading. She earned her BBA in finance from Delta State University and her MBA in finance from The University of St. Thomas. She is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research. Fran TiemeyerVice President, Life OperationsMs. Tiemeyer joined the company in 1999 and has been in the industry more than 30 years. In February, 2000, she relocated to Windsor, CT to open the satellite office which has become responsible for policyholder administration of the life companies, including Manhattan Life and Central United Life. Previously, she held positions as a director with Savers Life Insurance and management positions with Computer Sciences Corporation and Victory Life Insurance. Her professional designations include Fellow Life Management Institute, 1987, Fellow Life and Health Claims, 2003 and Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance, 1998.
